Which HP 15 125H laptop variant should I buy: 8GB, 16GB or 24GB RAM? - Techyassist - 10-29-2026
The HP 15 125H laptop is available in several model codes, mainly differing in RAM and storage, so selecting the right version can save money. Each model features the Intel Core Ultra 5 125H, a 14-core, 18-thread processor, a 15.6-inch Full HD screen, Windows 11 Home, and a one-year warranty in India. An 8GB RAM variant exists, such as the HP 15-fd1267TU with 8GB DDR5 and a 512GB SSD, though this version is listed in some international markets. This configuration is suitable for basic tasks but is not ideal for heavy multitasking, making it the least powerful option given the processor. The 16GB RAM models are a practical choice. The HP 15-hr1000TU with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage is listed at 63,490 on Smartprix, while the HP 15-fd1354TU with 16GB RAM and 1TB storage is listed at 74,499. Sixteen gigabytes is sufficient for office tasks, multiple browser tabs, video calls, and light photo editing. The 24GB RAM version is more expensive. HP 15-FD1458TU 24GB 1TB is listed at 76,990 (after a 6,118 drop in a month), and the HP 15-hr1004TU is around 81,990. Extra memory helps if you run heavy spreadsheets, virtual machines, or large creative files, but most students and office users will not feel the difference. Storage matters too. A 512GB SSD is fine if you use cloud storage, while 1TB is better for large files. The memory runs at 5600MHz DDR5, as one listing, so check that the variant you pick matches the specification you expect. Compare prices across stores, check the model code carefully, and buy from an authorised seller so the warranty applies.
